Social Networking in Lanzarote

smile.jpg

It can be difficult for new arrivals to Lanzarote, having said goodbye to your friends and family back at home, how do you go about meeting new friends?

If you have children you will meet other parents at the local schools, when dropping them off or waiting for the free bus service to collect them each day.

There are clubs you can join or volunteer.

Find a local bar you like and introduce yourself!

Through your job or starting your own business.

Take up a hobby or sport.

Having said all this, we have moved hundreds of clients over to Lanzarote and I'm sure that there are a few of you who would like to meet others, if so, post a comment to this message and leave your email address for people to contact direct with you.

We've noticed over the years that older residents miss their grandchildren and are open to babysitting or collecting children from school and young mums miss other parents to take their pre-school children round to each others houses and have a coffee and a natter with. Your new friends will become your surrogate family and support, it may take some time to find them, but its worth it to make the most of the lifestyle on offer in Lanzarote.

Moving over.

Hello there,
My wife and I are moving over in two weeks time and would be delighted to make contact with people who have been there and wore the T-Shirt !!!
We wont know a soul when we hit the island so apart from the Estupendo staff we met in Playa Blanca office when on holiday and the e-mails sent back and forth the last few months, thats about it !!!!.
It would be nice to hear from anyone interested in taking the time to advise a couple of fourty plus ! years old Irish people who still think age makes no difference and honesty, hard work, patience and integrity counts for everything.
If you took the time to read this...Thanks.

Relocating

Eddie & Edel, This is Mary & Paul who run the Cafe La Perla Rosa in Puerto Calero. We have been over here for six months and not regretted a moment, we have definately worn the T-Shirt!! If you want to call on us for some info, advice, or just a chat you would be most welcome. We know what it is like to come over and not know anyone. Our Cafe is in the square near the Whale Museum, we are open during the day and only closed on a Thursday. Hope to see you when you are settled. Regards, Mary & Paul
