I don't think we've yet found a medicine that isn't available over the counter from a chemist from the enquiries we've had over the years, but can check these specific ones for you if you're concerned. It will take you some time to be able to register with a local doctor and get them on prescription as you need to be registered with the social and paying into the local system to register with a doctor but you can see a private doctor at a local clinic or pay for them at the pharmacy until you can get on the health system. You are entitled to emergency care with your EHIC which covers you for holidays abroad. Most doctors in the UK will prescribe a longer prescription for you if you explain you are either moving abroad or taking a 6 month holiday here.
