The 30th May is ‘Dia de Canarias’ a day that the Canary Islands celebrate their day. It is one of the most popular festivities in the Islands. A day in which the identity of Canary Island’s people is closely felt, a date that recalls the anniversary of the setting-up of the first regional parliament. A day in which many cultural, traditional, festive and political events take place all around the islands. Most businesses on the islands will close to celebrate this day.
